Continuing its sponsorship of the PEI Conference and Awards, last week We joined more than 300 pension funds in Seville at one of the largest annual pension fund gatherings in Europe.
This year, the focus was on Europe; Topics explored the investment landscape, examined investment challenges, and detailed their priorities as they navigate complex and interlocking pressures.
Philippe d'Orgeval, Deputy Head of the Group CIO, took to the stage to express his views on some of the key themes influencing investment decision-making today, including the issue of long-term investing for younger generations, including how the under-30s approach alternative assets.
In the afternoon, Valentine Ainouz, Head of Global Fixed Income Strategy, and Dominic Byrne, Global Head of Retirement Solutions, continued the European theme by leading a workshop on reforms in Europe to help investors understand the market implications of potential changes.
We closed the day by welcoming more than 30 clients to our tables at the IPE European Pension Fund Awards, where Francesca Ciceri, Global Head of Institutional Client Coverage, presented Brunel Pension Partnership and Railpen with the ESG Strategy Award and The Swedish Fund Selection Agency with the Evening Lead Award for European Pension Fund of the Year.
