The Amundi Evian Championship is a member of the highly select club of five tournaments in the women’s golf Grand Slam.
Each year at the Evian Resort Golf Club, the tournament unites the world’s elite from the Rolex Rankings, with a field of 132 players and a 4-day competition with a cut after 2 rounds (top 70 and ties). The tournament has a purse of 8 million dollars.
The course at the Evian Resort Golf Club was totally redesigned in 2013 to become one of the most competitive of the major championship courses. It asserts its unique character in a stunning natural setting surrounded by lake and mountains.
The venue for the Major is the Evian Resort, its 18-hole major championship course (The Champions Course), new 6-hole course (The Lake Course) and Leadbetter Academy, is one of the most beautiful golfing destinations in the world.
