Around the world in our local initiatives for International Women's Day

Since 8 March and throughout the week, Amundi’s teams have been celebrating International Women’s Day.

Let’s take a look at some of the initiatives around the world! At the end of this article, let's see key indicators about women and finance at Amundi!

Austria

  • A special screening has been organised to preview the documentary “The Day Iceland Stood Still”, followed by a feminist panel discussion. -
  • A networking coffee took place in the office, with a special programme prepared by the local AWN network.

Belgium

A photoshoot was organised with all the female employees and the photos were published on Olivier Brouwers' LinkedIn.

China

A special celebration was held in the afternoon for a fun pottery class, which brought everyone closer together as a team and provided a wonderful experience to improve employees well-being. - A special cultural outing was organised for female employees and their children to explore the Ancient Egyptian Civilization Exhibition at the Shanghai Museum.

Czech Republic

A colour typology workshop for female colleagues was organised with an external specialist to identify the right colour palette for each lady.

France

A conference on economic and financial education, "Investing is also about Women", in partnership with ViveS Media, a French specialised media company.

Germany

Next week, a keynote with an external speaker will be organised on the topic of Unconscious bias. It invites to better understand unconscious bias, to challenge it and to find ways to overcome these patterns together. The keynote will be followed by an interactive session and a catered lunch provided by an organisation that works exclusively with women from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Hong Kong

During the lunch break, a session was organised for both men and women at the Work Café. This interactive workshop aimed to improve physical and mental wellbeing through the practice of aromatherapy.

Hungary

The male members of the team organised a breakfast for the women. The men did all the shopping and other preparations themselves. During this event, a debate took place about equal rights for women.

Ireland

One day, one news… Last week, an initiative was organised every day: - A news on the local Viamundi : “Celebrating international Women’s Day”, focusing on the theme of this year official campaign “accelerating action”, - An interview with an influential women, Una Barrett, Deputy Head of Cross Border Product & Innovation, - A webinar with Graham Fox interviewing Lorraine Cooke (independent Financial Advisor) with the theme of “Accelerate Action : Taking Control of your Financial Future”, - On site event with a Human Bingo Celebration about women accelerating and networking.

Italy

A webinar on “Parole non ostili” in collaboration with Credit Agricole was organised. Next week, a live webinar will take place with Annagaia Marchioro on “Pourparler: common words that we use but which are bias”.

Japan

During Valérie Baudson's visit to Amundi Japan, the Group CEO answered questions from staff members about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and explained how Amundi will continue to promote equality.

Luxembourg

A breakfast was organised with the staff. The CEO talked about International Women’s Day, Diversity and a signed charter on “Women in Finance” for the local financial market. In addition, all women received a small gift to thank them for making Diversity a reality in our company.

Malaysia

A gift was given to female staff as they gathered to discuss and celebrate the campaign.

Singapore

Employees were invited to wear purple (justice), green (hope) or white (purity) and gathered for an afternoon tea to discuss this year’s theme, “Accelerate Action” and share our perspectives.

Spain

  • A coffee break was organised with all the employees. Isabelle Senéterre, Head of Human Resources, participated remotely and shared her view about diversity policy at Amundi.
  • A solidarity activity was organised for all staff who decorated the office with fresh flowers in collaboration with the company Flores Solidarias. Their aim is to ensure that homeless people have the opportunity to integrate into the labor market through training and psychosocial support. A good opportunity to spend some time together for a good cause.

Sweden

The local teams sponsored the first Women in ETF event in Helsinki and participated in the bell ringing ceremony at Nasdaq.

Taiwan

A lunch gathering for all colleagues in the office was organised.

Thailand

Staff members gathered for an afternoon tea to discuss and celebrate the campaign.

United Kingdom

The AWN in London celebrated its anniversary and organised a fireside chat with Fannie Wurtz, Head of Distribution & Wealth Division and Eric Bramoullé, CEO Amundi UK.
