The Evian Amundi Championship

Previous edition

The 2023 Edition

For this third edition of The Amundi Evian Championship on the mythical Evian Resort Golf course in Evian-les-Bains, the Major has again kept all its promises with suspense and full of joy with a French victory.

In an incredible atmosphere, France’s Céline Boutier wins the first major championship of her career, The Amundi Evian Championship 2023. Armed with her past experience and support from a crowd passionately devoted to her success, the French player shot a final round 68 (-3) to win with a six-shot lead over Brooke Henderson.

France has not experienced such glory at a major since the crowning of Patricia Meunier-Lebouc at the Kraft Nabisco 2003. For Céline and those close to her and all blue-white-red golf lovers, Sunday 30th July will go down as a milestone.

On Amundi’s Team side, 4 girls were engaged: Morgane Metraux (CH), Ruoning Hin (CN), Tiffany Huang (TW) and Chiara Noja (DE). After two tough round for the last three, they unfortunately didn’t make the cut and finished the tournament respectively at the 71th, 102th and 88th place.

Morgane Métraux was in a great place on day 2 after finishing minus one on the first day – round 2 was difficult but with a birdie on the last hole she managed to makes the cut. After making the cut at -3 on Friday, Morgane was in a really good condition for round 3 & 4 and finished the major with a very nice T16.

The 2022 Edition

For this second edition of the Amundi Evian Championship on the mythical Evian Resort Golf course in Evian-les-Bains, the Major has again kept all its promises with suspense, joy and few disappointment.

After four days of competition, the Canadian Brooke Henderson wins the Amundi Evian Championship with a total score of -17, beating the American Sophia Schubert by a small stroke. It is her second victory in a Major, six years after winning the 2016 LPGA Championship.

Concerning the expected favorites for this edition, they all or almost all met with the expectations: a 3rd place for the New Zealander Lydia Ko ex aequo with the Korean Hyo-Joo Kim, an 8th place for the American Nelly Korda and the Korean Jin-Young Ko. The "surprise" of this tournament was the 43rd place for the world number 2 and title holder Minjee Lee (AUS).

On the Amundi Team side, Rose Zhang (USA) and Agathe Laisné (FR) from the US Amundi Team had the opportunity to participate in the tournament and both managed to pass the cut and to finish respectively at the 65th and 69th place.

The next edition of the Amundi Evian Championship will take place from July 27th to 30th 2023.
