Golf Amundi's commitment

In 2021, Amundi become the title partner for the next five years of the women's golf major in Evian, renamed "The Amundi Evian Championship" on the occasion.

A new stage in Amundi's commitment in 2021

Amundi, involved in golf since 2011, has taken a new step in 2021 by becoming the title partner for the next five years of the women's golf major in Evian, renamed “The Amundi Evian Championship" for the occasion.

Amundi is thus making a long-term commitment to women's sport, in line with its convictions regarding diversity and equality and set up several actions for the occasion:

  • The Amundi Women Talent Program
  • The Amundi Young Talent Program
  • The Amundi German Masters
  • The Amundi Czech Ladies Challenge
  • Premium sponsor of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open

The first edition of "The Amundi Evian Championship" took place in July 2021 on the Evian Resort Golf Club course.

What is the Amundi Evian Championship?

The Amundi Evian Championship is a member of the highly select club of five tournaments in the women’s golf Grand Slam.

Each year at the Evian Resort Golf Club, the tournament unites the world’s elite from the Rolex Rankings, with a field of 132 players and a 4-day competition with a cut after 2 rounds (top 70 and ties). The tournament has a purse of 6.5 million dollars.

The course at the Evian Resort Golf Club was totally redesigned in 2013 to become one of the most competitive of the major championship courses. It asserts its unique character in a stunning natural setting surrounded by lake and mountains.

The venue for the Major is the Evian Resort, its 18-hole major championship course (The Champions Course), new 6-hole course (The Lake Course) and Leadbetter Academy, is one of the most beautiful golfing destinations in the world.

The 2021 Edition

It’s in the heart of an exceptional park of more than 70 hectares that The Amundi Evian Championship has been played in 2021.

On the shores of Lake Geneva, at the edge of the Alps, Evian is a mythical land of women's golf. Its major course, The Champions Course, hosts every year the best women golfers in the world and offers a breathtaking show to golf lovers.

In 2021, the exceptional playing conditions were once again there for one of the most important moments in the golf landscape!


"The Amundi Evian Championship" took place on July 22 to 25 on the Evian Resort Golf at Evian-les-Bains in France. After 4 days of competition and emotions, Minjee Lee the professional Australian golfer won the tournament after a Birdie on hole 18 in the playoff facing Jeongeun Lee6.

The Amundi Women Talent Program

Equal opportunities is part of Amundi's core values: that is why we wish to support European women golfers over the next five years to enable them to better emerge on the international golf scene.

To do so, Amundi has launched “The Amundi Women Talent Program”.

It aims to sponsor players over a period of time by offering them sporting opportunities and visibility beyond a simple financial contribution.

Europe Amundi Team

Amundi has selected the following players and created in 2021 the first Amundi Team: Europe Amundi Team. Through their hard work and commitment to their goals, they are each an inspiration to all of us at Amundi:

Camille has played on the Ladies European Tour since January 2017, when she was named Rookie of the Year and won the Hero Women's Indian Open.

She played golf at Indiana University in Bloomington.

Lucrezia played her first major at the 2019 U.S. Women's Open after she won the European qualifier at Buckinghamshire Golf Club, England. She competed for Italy in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.

Corporate - Golf - Joueuses Karolin


Karolin was German Girls Champion in 2011 and 2012 and won the 2012 Spanish International Ladies Amateur Championship. She was runner up at the South African Women's Open in 2018.

In 2021, Lucie won the Ladies Italian Open as an 18-year-old amateur. She played for Europe in the 2019 Junior Solheim Cup at Gleneagles and was part of the winning Junior Vagliano Trophy team in 2019. She made her major debut at the 2020 U.S. Women's Open.

Luna won the 2014 European Ladies Amateur Championship and plays on the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour. In 2020, she won the Santander Golf Tour Lerma. She graduated from Camilo Jose Cela University in Spain.

US Amundi Team

In 2022, a year after the creation of the “Europe Amundi Team”, Amundi announces the sponsorship by Amundi US of three talented women golfers launching their careers in the US: Rose Zhang (USA), Agathe Laisné (FR) and Kaitlyn Papp (USA).

With the launch of the “US Amundi Team”, these golfers become members of Amundi's Women Talent Program.

The 3 newly joiners will play in high-profile tournaments around the world. Amundi is delighted to support these young women golfers as they build their careers.

As an 18-year-old freshman at Stanford University, Rose has already enjoyed a historic amateur and collegiate career. Rose became the first female in history to win a U.S. Women’s Amateur title prior to winning the U.S. Girls’ Junior and has continued her success in the collegiate ranks as she became the first player in Stanford University history to earn victories in each of their first three events. 

Rose’s dominance began on the junior circuit where her resume includes being a Junior Solheim Cup, Junior Ryder Cup, and Curtis Cup team member, two-time Girls Rolex Junior Player of the Year, Rolex Tournament of Champions winner, PING Invitational champion, and the honor of being the named the Mark. H. McCormack Medal winner in back-to-back years (2020 and 2021) as the Top Ranked Female Amateur in the World. And she is just getting started.

Born and raised in Paris, Agathe enjoys laughing and making jokes, but took golf seriously from a very young age. She started playing golf at the age of 3. She played her first professional major at age 15 in Evian and became a member of the Solheim Cup Junior Team. At the age of 17, Agathe was crowned European Individual Women Champion. Setting her sights outside of Europe, Agathe moved to the US to become a Longhorn. She joined the women’s golf team at the University of Texas.

In 2019, Agathe became The Big 12 Individual Champion Conference Player of the Year and First Team All American. Outside of her numerous team selections, Agathe continued to play for the French National Ladies’ Team, playing twice on the International Palmer Cup Team, and had the opportunity to play the Augusta National Women's Amateur in Augusta.
After completing her finance bachelor’s degree at Mc Comb Business School, Agathe decided to turn pro on both continents: Europe and US. She is currently a Rookie on both the LPGA and LET tours.

Kaitlyn is in her rookie season on the LPGA tour, after successfully earning her card at Qualifying School at the end of 2021. Her stellar amateur career included three wins on the amateur circuit, four All-America selections at the University of Texas, and five appearances for United States national teams. In addition, Kaitlyn was the low amateur at the 2020 US Women’s Open at Champions Golf Club in Houston, and holds the University of Texas’s all-time record for career scoring average. Kaitlyn is off to a strong start to her professional career, having already won twice on the Women’s All Pro Tour and is excited to join the US Amundi Team.

The Amundi Young Talent Program

As part of its commitment to women and young talent in golf, Amundi has decided to support the younger generation of golfers.

Each year Amundi accompanies 10 young French talents (6 men and 4 women) selected by application by Evian & the French Golf Federation in the university recruitment process for the United States via the Amundi Young Talent Program.

Amundi's official Golf Ambassador: Arnaud Sérié

In order to highlight The Amundi Evian Championship, Arnaud Sérié, expert in banking innovation within the Crédit Agricole Group and the leading French golf influencer, is Amundi's official Golf Ambassador.

On a daily basis, he offers educational and sometimes offbeat videos about the world of golf with the aim of entertaining and modernizing the image of golf in France and around the world.

Amundi Czech Ladies Challenge

Each year in June the Amundi Czech Ladies Challenge, a women golf tournament takes place at the picturesque Konopiště golf course near the Czech capital, Prague. In 2021, for the 3rd edition, it attracted nearly 100 female players from 24 different countries.

The Amundi Czech Ladies Challenge is the first of 14 professional tours organized as part of the Ladies European Tour Access Series (LETAS), and its aims at having Czech and foreign professional’s players compete with local amateur players.

Opportunity for young player

In 2021 and for the first time, Amundi CR nominated a “Wild Card”: the talented player Klára Sionková, who got the opportunity to play a professional tournament for the first time. Klára Sionková is a fifteen-year-old talent of Czech golf, daughter of a former famous Czech soccer player, Libor Sionko, and has already proven her natural sports gens.

Klára Sionková is the overall winner of the Czech National Youth Golf Tour 2020 (cadet category) and multiple champion of the club for shots and holes.

The 2021 Edition

After a few intense days of tournament, the amateur Sára Kousková won the Amundi Czech Ladies Challenge and made Czech history as the first amateur to win the LET / LETAS event. Four amateurs finished in the top 10, including 15-year-old Klára Sionková, the Wild Card of Amundi CR.

Amundi German Masters

A year after the announcement of Amundi’s engagement as the title partner for the next five years of the women's golf major in Evian “The Amundi Evian Championship", Amundi takes a new step in its long-term commitment to women’s sport and launches the Amundi German Masters.

In 2022, Amundi in association with U.COM Event, the “Vereinigung clubfreier Golfspieler” and the “Deutsche Golf Verband” are delighted to be able to bring a top-class women’s golf tournament back to Germany and announced the Amundi German Masters.

The 2022 tournament will assemble the elite of women’s golf in Germany from June 30th to July 3rd.

In my mind, the event in Germany has big added value for the Ladies European Tour and the 2022 tournament schedule. The game of golf in Germany will benifit from it at the same time. As a brand ambassador for Amundi, participating in the Amundi German Masters is sure to be one of my personal highlights in the 2022 season.
